On March 12, 2010 FES regional office to Ukraine in cooperation with Women Consortium of Ukraine and Lutsk NGO “Gender Center” conducted World Café event devoted to the problems of determination of the criteria of sexism in advertising sector of Ukraine and self-regulation actions to be taken to tackle this problem. If an advertisement is of abusive character and contains strong propaganda of the gender stereotypes then this advertisement can be called sexistic - this was one of the main conclusions on the criteria all participants agreed on. It was important that not only representatives of NGO sector but also professionals from advertising sector participated in the discussions during the event.
