Journalist Discussion Club "Sustainable Life"

Regional Office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in cooperation with Youth Human Rights Center within the framework of film festival «Sustainable Life» conducted two meetings of journalist discussion club on September 17, 23, 2009.

The first one was held on September 17 th. There was shown to journalists documentary film “KILOWATT HOURS” about importance of introduction of energy saving technologies and increasing role of green energy. These topics became the main for the following discussion between journalists and energy experts. Among the main guests there was invited by FES Head of the Bord of Ukrainian Wind Energy Association - Mr. Andrei Konechenkov.

During the second event there was presented to journalists film “Inconvenient truth” devoted to the problem of climate changes and a number of short-films on the problem of natural food. The participating experts and journalists had an opportunity to discuss the importance of problem for Ukraine and the ways how to contribute to decreasing negative tendencies in protection of environment sphere.
