Civil society monitoring of state youth policy

ation, Office for Ukraine, in Cooperation with Fund of Regional Initiatives on November 20th 2007 conducted Youth Forum "Civil society monitoring of state youth policy".
Among the participants of the event there were young MPs representing different political parties, representatives of youth organizations of national and regional character.
During the forum young people tried to find solutions for problems youth policy is facing and also to work out propositions on how to improve civil society control and monitoring of state youth policy in Ukraine.
The work of the Forum was built in the following way- participants were divided into working groups according to their interests and each group developed propositions in following spheres:
Section 1. Current issues of Youth policy in Ukraine.
Section 2. Methods, mechanisms and tools to be used by youth initiatives, youth organizations and students’ movements to infuence state institutions and country situation.
Section 3. Informational promotion of youth issues; lobbying youth interests in mass media; turning overall attention towards youth issues in Ukraine.
Section 4. Alanitycal support; production of new tools and mechanisms in order to improve state implementation of the youth policy.
Section 5. Work of advisory institutions in the field of youth policy.
Section 6. Cooperation of Parliament of Ukraine and the other state institutions with NGO’s and civil society in order to to implement the tasks of youth policy in Ukraine.
